Road Kill
Bernie, I know that you have been busy disposing of slugs but you should see the numbers squashed on the roads here. in addition to the slugs, we have seen a lot of toads (or should that be frogs since we are in France), cats, snakes, a fox and even a dead cow in a ditch- which smelled pretty unpleasant!

In the same vein as slugs… I was thinking of you guys this morning whilst chomping down a dish of whelks in Ilfracombe. The last time I ate decent shellfish was in your neck of the woods, in a little cantina outside Nice. It was so fresh that, much to the horror of Mrs G., the damn stuff crawled off the plate and across the table.
